Welcome to Brawijaya Knowledge Garden
Scientific information service actually does not concentrate solely on Brawijaya University library. At present, some
faculties are already provides reading room which substantially serves as a library although its collection is small (except
for postgraduate program, medical, economic, and engineering faculty). Nevertheless, students from those four faculties
regards Brawijaya University library as an important source of scientific information. This can be seen from the high rate of
visits from the students of these faculties. This also illustrates the heavy burden that must be carried by Brawijaya
University Library as scientific information service provider, regarding 10 faculties that consist of 93 majors and study
program owned by Brawijaya University.
One possible alternative to be done is preserving local content collection such as thesis, research reports, and Brawijaya
University seminar papers. This can be achieved in the presence of an excellent, efficient end effective mechanism of
preservation system, regardless the limited space available in the library. This mechanism is hoped will bust utility, not
only in the sense of one search, but also knowledge sharing.
Brawijaya University's Knowledge Garden try to solve theese problems. Recently, BKG contain
